Two More Fairbanks Deals For The Ingstads; WCGO/Chicago Sold

In a pair of additional FAIRBANKS deals by the INGSTAD family as it rearranges its interests in the market, TANANA VALLEY RADIO, LLC is selling Classic Rock KYSC/FAIRBANKS, AK to ROB INGSTAD LICENSES, LLC for $275,000 while TANANA VALLEY TELEVISION COMPANY is selling Country KDJF (93.5 CHET FM)/ESTER, AK to TOR INGSTAD LICENSES, LLC for $275,000. Both stations are being operated under an Advertising Referral Agreement and Facilities and Services Agreement with ROB INGSTAD's LAST FRONTIER MEDIACTIVE, LLC; yesterday's deals at the FCC database showed LAST FRONTIER selling three FAIRBANKS stations to ROB INGSTAD LICENSES and three to TOR INGSTAD LICENSES (NET NEWS 5/8).
In other filings with the FCC, MAPLETON LICENSE OF SPOKANE, LLC has applied for STAs to operate Sports KGA-A and Classic Rock KJRB-A (94.1 THE BEAR, feeding K231CU)/SPOKANE with reduced nighttime power while repairs are made to the stations' antenna system.
MEL WHEELER, INC. has filed for an STA to operare News-Talk WFIR-A/ROANOKE, VA with a nondirectional signal at night from its daytime tower while "extensive physical work" is done at the nighttime site.
SAINT JOSEPH's COLLEGE/WPUM-FM has requested a Silent STA for WPUM/RENSSELAER, IN because the school has suspended operations.
And TOWNSQUARE MEDIA QUAD CITIES LICENSE, LLC has applied for an STA to operate Classic Country KBOB-A/DAVENPORT, IA with its nighttime directional antenna during daylight hurs while it repairs the daytime array.
WCGO/Chicago Sold To Pollack Broadcasting
Also, ROBERTFEDER.COM is reporting that KOVAS COMMUNICATIONS is selling News-Talk WCGO-A/EVANSTON-CHICAGO to POLLACK BROADCASTING for about $3 million. FEDER adds that POLLACK plans to increase local programming on the station and that GM CHUCK DUNCAN is expected to remain on board. ALL ACCESS has confirmed that DICK FOREMAN served as exclusive broker for the deal.
