WYEP Wins Several Golden Quill Awards

PITTSBURGH COMMUNITY BROADCASTING CORP. Triple A WYEP’s programming staff won several GOLDEN QUILL awards last night from the PRESS CLUB OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA!

ROSEMARY WELSCH and BRIAN SIEWIOREK won in the Arts & Entertainment, Radio and Podcasts category for "A Conversation With Rock and Blues Legend Bonnie Raitt."

The entire station staff was recognized for contributing to the "Music and the Civil Rights Movement" series the station ran for the 2016 Black History Month in the History, Radio and Podcasts category.

The station was further honored for the "Music and the Civil Rights Movement" series by winning the Ed King Memorial “Best in Show” Award for radio. This was the first time WYEP has won Best in Show recognition!
