ATLANTIC/WMN's BRETT ELDREDGE received a very different kind of #1 plaque YESTERDAY (6/8) during a CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL event at the WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE building. In a story told to PEOPLE in 2015, ELDREDGE revealed that he used to use the side of the WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE building as his own personal bathroom stop a decade ago as he walked to the downtown bars with a friend each week.
WMN Chairman/CEO JOHN ESPOSITO thought it neccessary to commemorate that now-legendary story with a "#1 plaque" on the side of the WARNER building where ELDREDGE so frequently left his mark, long before signing with the label and leaving his mark in a more musical way. "We thought this story was amazing," ESPOSITO said, according to PEOPLE. "We felt like no only you had to mark your spot, but we had to mark it, as well. You have to unveil it." ELDREDGE then moved aside some fake ivy along the side of the building to reveal a bronze plaque that reads, "BRETT ELDREDGE Left His Mark Here In MARCH Of 2007." The plaque will serve as a wee reminder that dreams can come true if you're a real whiz at singing.
