ESPN Adds Two New Football Podcasts

ESPN AUDIO is adding a pair of new football podcasts.  

ESPN lead college football analyst KIRK HERBSTREIT and late night ESPN RADIO "FREDDIE AND FITZ" co-host IAM FITZSIMMONS are reteaming for "HERBSTREIT AND FITZSIMMONS," posting WEDNESDAYS during college football season starting AUGUST 30th.  HERBSTREIT and FITZSIMMONS worked together at RADIOHIO Sports WBNS-F (97.1 THE FAN)/COLUMBUS.

“If you love college football, then this show will be for you,” said FITZSIMMONS.  “HERBSTREIT & FITZSIMMONS will be insightful, light-hearted and we’ll have some of the biggest names in sports – and in entertainment – having fun talking ball and life. I’m so excited to be back with my old radio partner, HERBIE…It's gonna be a fun ride!”

 In addition, a weekday NFL podcast, "THE NICKEL PACKAGE," will launch MONDAY (8/28) with five different editions hosted by different talent each weekday.  MONDAYS will feature NFL Insider and "FANTASY FOCUS FOOTBALL" co-host FIELD YATES; TUESDAYS will be hosted by  "JALEN AND JACOBY" co-host DAVID JACOBY and CIANN FAHEY; WEDNESDAYS will be hosted by BILL BARNWELL; THURSDAYS will feature MINA KIMES and DOMONIQUE FOXWORTH; and FRIDAYS will be hosted by MIKE GOLIC JR.

The network has also renamed the "CHAMPIONSHIP DRIVE" podcast as "CAMPUS CONVERSATION," covering additional sports and adding SEC NETWORK's PETER BURNS and a special SUNDAY edition with MATT BARRIE and PAUL FINEBAUM joining the regular crew of IVAN MAISEL, MATT SCHICK, HEATHER DINICH, CHRIS LOW, and ADAM RITTENBERG.

And "30 FOR 30 PODCASTS" is adding five bonus episides to the season, with "30 FOR 30" filmmakers offering behind-the-scenes commentary about the shows. Season two of the podcast will launch this FALL.
