We had 29 dedicated programming staff members in the building the during the storm working with all seven radio stations, pushing out original programming from WOKV.
We had our COX TV partners CBS47 and FOX 30/Action News reporters providing custom, live reports in the field during the hurricane, right after they did their live shots on TV. Providing live reports before, during and after the storm were WOKV (NEWS 104.5) Dir./Branding and Programming NICK FIGUEREDO, WOKV News Dir. RICH JONES and Action News Jax-CBS47 and FOX30 Chief Meteorologist MIKE BURESH.

iHEARTMEDIA/TAMPA's RYAN GORMAN was one of the crew who was live and local during the storm from the GANDY studios. He anchored 8p-4a straight. Only stations in TAMPA (SARASOTA also took the feed) to do that and he took calls from listeners as the storm hit."
In addition, News-Talk WIOD-A/MIAMI, temporarily silenced when IRMA floods knocked out its transmitter in BISCAYNE BAY, is using the signal of sister Sports WINZ-A at 940 AM for over-the-air service while it works to get a temporary antenna back on the air on its customary 610 AM dial position.
