Michael Carowitz Named Special Counsel At FCC

FCC Chairman AJIT PAI has named MICHAEL CAROWITZ as his Special Counsel, replacing NICK DEGANI, who was recently appointed Acting General Counsel. CAROWITZ served as Deputy Chief of the Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau from 2013 until JANUARY of this year and previously served as Associate Chief and Chief of Staff of the Enforcement Bureau.

“I’m pleased that MICHAEL has agreed to bring his breadth of experience to our office,” said PAI.  “He is truly the Swiss Army knife of the FCC, having served in leadership roles across the Commission. We have all come to rely on his sharp counsel.”
