The Executive Committee of THE NEW YORK STATE BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION will be extending the contract of DAVID DONOVAN for three years. Donovan has been Pres./Executive Director of NYSBA since 2011. Prior to joining NYSBA, DONOVAN held various positions representing broadcasters in WASHINGTON, D.C. He also served as the media counsel to the late FCC Commissioner JAMES H. QUELLO.
GALAXY COMMUNICATIONS CEO and Chairman of NYSBA ED LEVINE stated, “We are delighted that DAVID will remain at the helm of THE NEW YORK STATE BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION. He has been a very effective advocate for broadcasters, both in ALBANY and WASHINGTON, D.C. Broadcasting is confronting numerous challenges and he has the skills necessary to get the job done.”
DONOVANA said, “It has been an honor to represent radio and television stations throughout NEW YORK. I am grateful for the trust they have placed in me. Broadcasters face many challenges in today’s hyper competitive marketplace. NYSBA’s mission is to make sure they have the tools and the regulatory environment that will allow them to thrive and prosper so they may serve their communities."
