Last night (10/4), EMI NASHVILLE's ERIC CHURCH performed at the GRAND OLE OPRY as part of a previously-scheduled appearance. CHURCH discussed the ROUTE 91 HARVEST FESTIVAL tragedy for the first time from the stage of the OPRY, and he detailed the story of a fan from TENNESSEE who died during the shooting. True to form, CHURCH took to the music to cope with his emotions, penning a song in honor of that fan, SONNY MELTON, and all of the first responders, victims, and heroes in LAS VEGAS.
Check out this video from the OPRY, where CHURCH opens up about his emotions and debuts the new song, which asks, "Why you, and why not me?" He also performed "Those I've Loved" and "Hallelujah" during the appearance. See the video here.
