Mase Brazelle Named PD At WWCD (CD102.5)/Columbus, OH; Lesley James Remains In PM Drive

WWCD, LTD. Alternative WWCD (CD102.5)/COLUMBUS, OH PD/afternooner LESLEY JAMES has stepped down as PD after eight years programming CD102.5, THE ALTERNATIVE STATION.  LESLEY started as a guest DJ in 2004 and replaced ANDYMAN as PD in 2010. She will remain in afternoons on CD102.5.

Meanwhile, CD102.5 night jock MASON "MASE" BRAZELLE rises to PD. MASE spent 11 years at Alternative WKZQ/MYRTLE BEACH, SC where he was APD/MD before his wife's job relocated them from MYRTLE BEACH to COLUMBUS. He previously worked at former crosstown iHEARTMEDIA Alternative WXZX (105.7 THE X) and FMQB.

CD102.5 Owner/Pres./GM RANDY MALLOY said, "When I first met MASE in 2015, he was sitting with CD1025 morning host BRIAN PHILLIPS at the Station Bar and afterward, I asked BRIAN 'who was the Rock Dude?'" 

MALLOY continued, "MASE worked in the COLUMBUS market for CC/iHEART for an undisclosed amount of time, then started working here at CD102.5 as a PT jock and programming our heritage alternative specialty show, THE STASH. I expect that MASE will take a bit of time to get settled in his new role, but am confident that he will live up to the high standards that have been an integral part of CD1025 for many, many years."

"I'm very excited to be back on the radio side of the business," said MASE. "After being on the promotion side for almost three years, I promise to answer phone calls and e-mails as much as I possibly can. I've always said everyone should wait tables for at least a little bit just to get it.  Now I think every programmer should have to do promo as well. I have some huge shoes to fill but I'm really looking forward to the challenge."
