No new station transactions appeared in the FCC database THURSDAY morning, as the paperwork for the ENTERCOM/CBS spinoff swaps with iHEARTMEDIA and BEASLEY make their way to the Commission.
In the meantime, MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO has requested Silent STAs for KBPN and KBPR/BRAINERD, MN to make repairs to a failed transmission line.
MCKAY INTERNATIONAL GROUP, LTD. has applied for an STA to operate K271BP/CARMEL, CA at a new site with lower power to test possible permanent relocation there.
SALEM MEDIA OF NEW YORK, LLC has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for W283BR/DANSVILLE, NY to get additional time to build its new facilities. SALEM's CARON BROADCASTING, INC. has also filed for an extension of its Silent STA for W298AM/AURORA, FL for the same reason.
NORTHERN CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of noncommercial Religion WHST (THE PROMISE FM)/TAWAS CITY, MI to CARROLL ENTERPRISES, INC. for a price redacted from the contract filed with the FCC.
GEORGE S. FLINN, JR. has closed on the sale of Contemporary Christian WWWD/BOLINGBROKE-MACON, GA to RADIO TRAINING NETWORK for $475,000.
TOWNSQUARE MEDIA POUGHKEEPSIE LICENSE, LLC has closed on the sale of AC WKNY-A/KINGSTON, NY to PETER BUFFETT and JIMMY BUFF's RADIO KINGSTON CORP. for $500,000. The buyers are converting the station to noncommercial Variety as RADIO KINGSTON.
DELMARVA EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION has closed on the sale of Silent WONA-A/RICHMOND, VA to MOBILE RADIO PARTNERS, INC. for $25,000.
CREEK BROADCASTING CORP. has closed on the sale of Country KTMP-A/HEBER CITY, UT to AIR-FREE WIRELESS, INC. for $125,000.
FAMILY STATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of Religion KKAA/ABERDEEN, SD and Religion KQKD-A/REDFIELD, SD to ROBERT J. INGSTAD's KKAA, LLC for $85,000.
And BLUEBERRY BROADCASTING, LLC has closed on the sale of Rock WTQX/BOOTHBAY HARBOR-AUGUSTA-BRUNSWICK, ME to MAINE PUBLIC BROADCASTING CORPORATION for $550,000.
In a deal yet to appear in the database, the GREENVILLE HERALD-BANNER is reporting that HUNT COUNTY RADIO, LLC is selling Classic Country KGVL-A/GREENVILLE, TX -K290AP/COMMERCE, TX and Country KIKT (93.5 THE COYOTE)/COOPER-GREENVILLE, TX to JONATHAN ELLIS' E RADIO NETWORK, LLC for an undisclosed price. An LMA began YESTERDAY (11/1) with JOHN RUSSELL as GM.
And EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has closed on the purchase of Alternative WBRU/PROVIDENCE from BROWN BROADCASTING SERVICE, INC. for $5.63 million. EMF has flipped the station to its K-LOVE Christian AC format as WLVO, while BROWN's student-operated station has moved its programming to an online streaming platform. ROBERT J. MACCINI of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP served as broker for the seller.
