No new station transactions showed up in the FCC database WEDNESDAY morning (11/8), but a pair of large market translator operators are in there looking to solve interference issues.
ABC RADIO LOS ANGELES ASSETS, LLC is trying again with an application for an STA to operate K256CX/BEAUMONT, CA to allow testing of a different antenna orientation to try and alleviate interference to co-channel iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 KGGI/RIVERSIDE in areas near the 605 and 10 freeways. ABC uses the translator to rebroadcast Country KRDC-A (RADIO DISNEY COUNTRY)/PASADENA-LOS ANGELES in the central SAN GABRIEL VALLEY east of PASADENA.
In another translator technical filing, NIA BROADCASTING, INC. has requested an STA to operate W248CA/ST. PETERSBURG, FL at reduced power to mitigate possible interference to co-channel HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WPCV/LAKELAND, FL while the problem is investigated.
PRIORITY RADIO, INC. has filed for an STA to operate Gospel WSRY-A/ELKTON, MD at reduced power due to theft of its ground system's copper radials and ground strap.
BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for WBVA-A/BAYSIDE, VA while it continues to battle with local zoning officials.
HYRUM CITY CORPORATION has requested a Silent STA for low power KVWJ-LP/HYRUM, UT to make "structural enhancements to its antenna support structure."
ALMA VISION HISPANIC NETWORK, INC. has closed on the sale of KAVB/HAWTHORNE, NV for $14,000.
And CAMERON UNIVERSITY has closed on the sale of K261CR/CHICKASHA, OK to GRACE PUBLIC RADIO for $25,000.
