Amidst the controversy surrounding its deal with ESPN being canceled after just one episode of a TV series based on its popular "PARDON MY TAKE" podcast, BARSTOOL SPORTS has inked a new deal for a channel on SIRIUSXM.
VARIETY reports that BARSTOOL will take over the present SIRIUSXM RUSH on Channel 93 as of JANUARY 15th. The satirical sports website, criticized by some for misogynistic commentary, currently produces a two hour daily show, "BARSTOOL RADIO," airing noon-2p (ET) on the channel. That show, hosted by BARSTOOL President and founder DAVID PORTNOY with KEVIN "KFC" CLANCY and CALEB PRESSLEY, will remain on the channel, to be joined by some of its podcast lineup and shows with former NFL punter PAT MCAFEE, retired MLB pitcher and former ESPN baseball analyst DALLAS BRADEN, and former FOX SPORTS reporter JULIE STEWART-BINKS.
PORTNOY announced the deal in a video posted TODAY showing him walking through the NEW YORK lobby of SIRIUSXM and delivering the news in front of the lobby's step-and-repeat:
