PODCAST ONE founder and radio veteran NORM PATTIZ has been pressured to leave the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA BOARD OF REGENTS after he was recorded last year asking an actress if he could hold her breasts.
In a resignation letter to REGENTS Chair GEORGE KEIFFER, PATTIZ didn’t mention the accusation, but said it was time to retire after 16 years on the board.
PATTIZ said he'll step down on FEBRUARY 16th, when REGENT ELLEN TAUSCHER will take on his role as Chairman of the Boards of Governors for the LAWRENCE LIVERMORE and ALAMO national laboratories run by UC.
Actress HEATHER McDONALD posted a recording of his comment on her "Juicy Scoop" podcast, which had previously been carried by PATTIZ's L.A.-based PODCAST ONE, in OCTOBER 2016..
McDONALD also accused PATTIZ of commenting on her appearance and joking about following her into the rest room when she was still at PODCAST ONE recording her show..
