The FCC and CESAR CHAVEZ FOUNDATION have reached a consent decree under which CCF is being fined $115,000 for underwriting rule violations at noncommercial Regional Mexican KNAI-F (LA CAMPESINA 88.3 FM)/PHOENIX and KUFW-F (LA CAMPESINA 90.5 FM)/WOODLAKE-VISALIA, CA. The fine is the largest levied against a licensee for underwriting rules violations to date.
The Commission said that between AUGIST 2016 and MARCH 2017, the stations aired promotional announcements that included comparisons to other businesses, calls to take action, and excessive length.
