GEORGE S. FLINN, JR. is selling News-Talk KNNR-A/SPARKS, NV and K277DL/WASHOE VALLEY, NV to FRED WEINBERG's 1400 INVESTMENTS, LLC for $100,000 ($50,000 cash, $50,000 in a five year promissory note). KNNR presently rebroadcasts the NEVADA TALK NETWORK programming from WEINBERG's KELY-A/ELY, NV.
In other filings with the FCC, COMMON FREQUENCY, INC. is selling noncommercial Variety KXRY (XRAY.FM)/PORTLAND, OR to CASCADE EDUCATIONAL BROADCAST SERVICE for $16,000. CASCADE has operated the station, formerly REED COLLEGE's KRRC, under an LMA since 2012.
BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION has filed for an STA to operate Classic Country WGOP-A/POCOMOKE CITY, MD with 25% of authorized power due to transmitter problems.
BIBLE BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. has applied for an STA to operate W248CB/AUGUSTA, ME under the parameters of its previous STA at reduced power due to interference concerns.
WRBS-AM, LLC has asked for an STA to operate Religion WRBS-A/BALTIMORE at a temporary site with 400 watts triplexed with URBAN ONE News-Talk WOLB-A and Gospel WWIN-A after losing its licensed site.
And requesting Silent STAs were COMMON FREQUENCY, INC. (KCFH/TWO HARBORS, CA, loss of signal from KXCF/MARSHALL, CA feeding the station) and HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP (WRYP/WELLFLEET, MA, malfunctioning power divider).
In a deal yet to appear in the FCC database, MERCYHURST UNIVERSITY is selling noncommercial Classic Hits WMCE/ERIE, PA to THE LAKE ERIE COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE (LECOM) for an undisclosed price, with a "Public Service Operating Agreement" for the buyer to operate the station starting MARCH 1st.
The FCC also issued Notices of Unlicensed Operation to ERIC V. EVANS (96.5 FM, YUMA, AZ) and ARTHUR WARE (88.3 FM, DES MOINES, WA).
And the Commission denied MOUNT RUSHMORE BROADCASTING, INC.'s Petition for Reconsideration of the revocation of its license for KAWK/CUSTER, SD.
