Two New ALT Stations In Albany: WQSH Flips To 'ALT 105.7,' Days After WINU Launches 'ALT 104.9'

TOWNSQUARE MEDIA has flipped Adult Hits WQSH (REWIND 105.7)/ALBANY, NY to Alternative as ALT 105.7, days after crosstown PAMAL/ALBANY BROADCASTING Sports WINU made the same flip with the same slogan as ALT 104.9 (NET NEWS 3/16).

WQSH's flip had been rumored in the market and was preceded by a ST. PATRICK'S DAY-themed stunt over the weekend with Irish music as "SHAMROCK 105.7." 

According to the company press release, ALT 105.7 will give music fans in ALBANY a true alternative through an expertly curated playlist with modern and mainstream alternative music and some classic alternative hits. ALT 105.7 is celebrating the launch by putting the music first. 100% commercial-free.
