Wondery Podcast Network Gets $5 Million In New Funding Round

Podcast network WONDERY has raised a $5 million round of funding by investors including GREYCROFT, LERER HIPPEAU VENTURES, and ADVANCE CAPITAL, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

WONDERY, headed by former FOX executive HERNAN LOPEZ, will use the funding to expand its podcast roster, which features the LOS ANGELES TIMES' "DIRTY JOHN" and is adding "AMERICAN INNOVATIONS," "DR. DEATH," and "I, SURVIVOR" with the new funding, and add to its staff.  The company has also added GREYCROFT's JON GOLDMAN to its board.
