KUFX/San Jose Hires Joey For Mornings, Moves Chris Jackson To Afternoons

BONNEVILLE Classic Rock KUFX (98.5 KFOX)/SAN JOSE is welcoming JOEY (JOEY VLAZNY) to mornings starting MONDAY, APRIL 16th and moving current morning guy CHRIS JACKSON to afternoons replacing former KUFX PD/afternoons TIM JEFFREYS who left the station in MARCH of this year (NET NEWS 2/23/18).

JOEY most recently hosted mornings at ENTERCOM Top 40/R KRBQ (Q-102)/SAN FRANCISCO and afternoons at KOSF. CHRIS JACKSON is returning to afternoons, the day-part where he started on KUFX back on MARCH 4th, 1991.     

"JOEY’s smart work ethic, strong creativity and passion for our business elevates our brand awareness," said KFUX PD BRIAN FIGULA. "I look forward to adding him to the team with CHRIS JACKSON to dominate the SAN JOSE radio market."   

"Not being on the radio was driving me nuts," said JOEY. “Sleeping in till 10a every day was nice,  but three months of that was enough. I was incredibly honored to even be considered to work on a SOUTH BAY institution like KFOX. Taking over mornings from the legendary CHRIS JACKSON certainly adds some pressure to the gig, but I'm excited for the challenge."
