Longtime News KYW-A/PHILADELPHIA MIDDLE EAST Bureau Chief JAY BUSHINSKY has passed away in JERUSALEM at 85. BUSHINSKY died WEDNESDAY at his home in SAVYON, ISRAEL. BUSHINSKY's reports aired on KYW and sister WINS-A/NEW YORK, among others.
BUSHINSKY started at the MIDDLETOWN (NY) TIMES HERALD RECORD in 1964 and joined the CHICAGO DAILY NEWS in 1966 covering ISRAEL. He served as ISRAEL and MIDDLE EAST Bureau Chief, reporter, or columnist for several outlets, including the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, TORONTO SUN, WASHINGTON TIMES, ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR, CNN, and the JERUSALEM POST. He served as Chairman of the FOREIGN PRESS ASSOCIATION in 1968-1971.
