THE RECORDING ACADEMY has unveiled members of its newly-formed task force on diversity and inclusion, which will examine barriers and biases affecting women and other underrepresented voices in the industry and THE RECORDING ACADEMY. Chaired by TINA TCHEN, the group will include:
CREATIVE NATION's BETH LAIRD; ARISTA NASHVILLE's CAM; artists COMMON, SHERYL CROW, ANDRA DAY, and JIMMY JAM; ATO RECORDS' STEPHANIE ALEXA; UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP's MICHELE ANTHONY; television journalist GISELLE FERNANDEZ; BET NETWORKS' DEBRA LEE; LIONFISH ENTERTAINMENT's REBECA LEON; ASCAP's ELIZABETH MATTEWS; USC ANNENBERG INCLUSION INITIATIVE's Dr. STACY L. SMITH; FRIENDS AT WORK's TY STIKLORIUS; SONY MUSIC's JULIE SWIDLER; and SEVEN20's DEAN WILSON.
