MEDIA ACCESS PARTNERS, INC. has established an unwired radio network, MEXICO MEDIA REPS, to sell ads on radio stations serving 10 markets along the Mexican-U.S. border. The markets include SAN DIEGO-TIJUANA, EL CENTRO-MEXICALI, YUMA-SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, NOGALES, DOUGLAS-SIERRA VISTA-AGUA PRIETA, EL PASO-CIUDAD JUAREZ, DEL RIO-CIUDAD ACUÑA, EAGLE PASS-PIEDRAS NEGRAS, LAREDO, MCALLEN-REYNOSA, and BROWNSVILLE-MATAMOROS.
“We are pleased to announce the formation of this new network, designed for U.S. retailers and service providers to reach out to residents of MEXICO who regularly enter the U.S. for shopping and services,” said President RODGER SEELERT. “Every day, more than half a million residents of MEXICO line up to legally enter the US; and for a very significant percentage, the primary purpose is to shop.... Estimated annual economic impact studies vary, due in part to the high percentage of cash purchases, yet most experts place the number in the area of $20 billion dollars.”
Director of Vendor Relations DANIELA WALDHEIM said, “MEXICO MEDIA REPS is unique among media representation firms, and so is our border radio network. Because not all advertisers wish to be in all the border markets, the border radio network has the flexibility to adjust for each advertiser, the chosen markets, stations and budget, while still providing all of the efficiencies of network radio.... We precisely design the network for each advertiser, with an eye toward the markets, station formats and delivery of the target demographic.”
