No new transactions were filed with the FCC today, other than an addition to the transaction filed YESTERDAY under which control of MINNESOTA VALLEY BROADCASTING CO. is being transferred from THOMAS LINDER, DOUGLAS LINDER, and JOHN DAVID LINDER to THE JRL REVOCABLE TRUST OF 2015.
The new filing adds the stations owned by MVBC, the parent company of the licensees transferred in YESTERDAY's filing, to the deal, in which THOMAS LINDER will receive $2,665,880 for his interest, JOHN DAVID LINDER will receive $2 million plus interest in a promissory note plus $617,983, and DOUGLAS LINDER will receive $1,971,458. The additional stations are Top 40 KDOG (HOT 96.7)/NORTH MANKATO, MN; Country KATO-F (MINNESOTA 93)/NEW ULM, MN; Sports KFSP-A (THE FAN), News-Talk KTOE-A, K274AL, K276EH, and K252GA/MANKATO, MN; Country KRRW and Oldies KXAC/ST. JAMES, MN; and Classic Rock KXLP/EAGLE LAKE, MN, plus an LMA to operate Classic Rock KHRS/WINTHROP, MN, licensed to KETELSEN RADIO, INC.
Also, YAQUINA BAY COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has applied for an STA to operate KYTE/INDEPENDENCE, OR from its former site due to a generator failure at its licensed site.
The Commission also dismissed Applications for Review filed by RADIO ONE (URBAN ONE) challenging interference complaint remediation letters sent to INDIANA COMMUNITY RADIO CORP. regarding W275BD/GREENFIELD, IN; the Commission said that the AFRs were premature, and also dismissed REISING RADIO PARTNERS, INC.'s Motion to Dismiss as late-filed, and RADIO ONE's opposition to that motion as moot. 275BD rebroadcasts URBAN ONE's Classic Hip Hop WNOW-F-HD2 (BOOM 102.9)/SPEEDWAY-INDIANAPOLIS and the complaints alleged that the translator is interfering with REISING's Classic Hits WXCH (MOJO 102.9)/COLUMBUS, IN.
In a closing yet to appear in the FCC database, BIBLE BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. has closed on the purchase of Polish and Dance WCPQ (POLSKI FM/DANCE FACTORY FM, simulcast with WCPY)/PARK FOREST-JOLIET-KANKAKEE, IL from NEWSWEB's WCLR, INC. for $5,099,000. BOB HEYMANN of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP served as exclusive broker for the deal.
And CUMULUS LICENSING LLC has turned in the license for Classic Hits KZJF/JEFFERSON CITY, MO, moving the format to sister Oldies KJMO (COOL 97.5)/LINN-JEFFERSON CITY-COLUMBIA, MO. KJMO was one of the CUMULUS stations included among those ticketed for a divestiture trust, THE MAINSTAY STATION TRUST LLC, with ELLIOTT EVERS as trustee.
