Podbean Launches Its Own Programmatic 'PodAds' Platform

Podcast hosting service PODBEAN has launched its own programmatic advertising platform, PodAds, that will dynamically insert ads into podcasts matched with ad buyers' target audiences. The company describes the system as "like (GOOGLE) AdSense for podcasts."
PODBEAN CEO DAVID XU said, “We wanted to eliminate the friction involved in the usual podcast advertising process. The idea is to reduce the time and difficulty in matching advertisers to podcasts and running the ads. Not only does this make it easier for brands to run podcast advertising, but it provides opportunities for podcasts of all sizes.”
