KINK/Portland To ‘Paint The Town Green’

THIS SATURDAY (6/16), ALPHA MEDIA PORTLAND, OR’s Triple A KINK will partner with METRO (the PORTLAND area’s regional governmental body), SOLVE (Stop OREGON Litter & Vandalism) and the CITY OF PORTLAND GRAFFITI CLEANUP for a massive cleanup effort in PORTLAND’s eastside neighborhoods.

KINK, being the only carbon-neutral certified radio station in the country, has long supported environmental and community causes.  Weekend host PEGGY LAPOINT is closely involved with METRO, and hosts an environmentally-focused segment on KINK called GREEN TIPS.

LAPOINT said, “The PAINT THE TOWN GREEN event speaks to our green roots. When I started at KINK we worked on a number of clean-ups around the PORTLAND area, and I love that we`re involved in this event. The partnership with METRO and the CITY OF PORTLAND GRAFFITI PROGRAM is a perfect fit, and I hope we continue to do more work like this in the community.”
