KXRN-LP (KX 93.5)/Laguna Beach, CA Attracts Financial Support

LAGUNA RADIO INC. Non-Comm Alternative KXRN-LP (KX 93.5)/LAGUNA BEACH, CA was awarded a LAGUNA BEACH Community Assistance Grant in the amount of $20,000. Last year, KX 93.5 received $15,000, but as listenership has expanded, so has the station’s role in serving the community.

The grant is a great nod to KX 93.5 and will help the station as it continues to provide for LAGUNA BEACH residents through emergency preparedness, public safety education and community service. “Although we are primarily a music station focused on supporting independent artists, we are also dedicated to being the ‘voice of LAGUNA’ through a radio station that immerses itself into the arts and culture of our community," station GM TYLER RUSSELL said. "We’re so grateful that the city council agrees.” 

KX 93.5 also received a $7,000 grant from the City of LAGUNA BEACH to be used toward the station’s annual concert, which will be used to promote the festival and foster the community’s appreciation of cultural arts. With this funding, KX 93.5 will be able to maximize the potential of the event as well as continue to outreach to the public.
