The ultimate lineup at Sports WTEM-A (THE TEAM 980)/WASHINGTON as URBAN ONE takes control of the station is yet to be determined, but the lineup as presently displayed by the station's website is missing the morning team of former REDSKINS tight end CHRIS COOLEY and KEVIN SHEEHAN. THE WASHINGTON POST reports that while COOLEY will continue as part of the station's REDSKINS coverage, SHEEHAN has exited and their show's departure is one of several changes in the printed lineup.
Also gone from the station are former REDSKINS players RICK "DOC" WALKER, who will also continue with COOLEY on REDSKINS game coverage, and SCOTT JACKSON, who were BRIAN MITCHELL's co-hosts on "INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM"; MITCHELL remains on board, listed as co-hosting 1-4p with SCOTT LINN. Midday host BRAM WEINSTEIN has also disappeared from the schedule, while former REDSKINS and VIKINGS cornerback FRED SMOOT is now handling middays.
The lineup includes AL GALDI expanding to 6-10a, SMOOT 10a-1p, MITCHELL and LINN 1-4p, and incumbent STEVE CZABAN 4-7p. MONDAY's programming did not exactly follow that schedule, however, with SMOOT and LINN hosting 10a-1p from the 'SKINS training camp, and MITCHELL paired with NBC SPORTS WASHINGTON reporter JP FINLAY.
