Former ENTERCOM Country WYCD/DETROIT midday personality ROXANNE STEELE has joined CUMULUS crosstown Country WDRQ (NASH FM) for weekends beginning SATURDAY, AUGUST 25th. STEELE shared the news on her FACEBOOK page yesterday (8/20), saying. "On #NationalRadioDay, it seems perfect to announce my new gig ... You can now hear me on WDRQ 93.1 NASH FM!! My first shift is this SATURDAY, 2-7p (ET) ... Thank you for your friendship and loyalty to me on the radio dial! I can't wait to get back to it!" STEELE also revealed she'll be hosting a show on WESTWOOD ONE's nationally syndicated Hot AC network.
STEELE, who was a finalist for this year's ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC Major Market Personality Of The Year Broadcast Award, left WYCD in JUNE after two years (NET NEWS 6/29). Her radio resume includes stops at CUMULUS Hot AC WDVD/DETROIT, CBS RADIO AC WCFS/CHICAGO, and CBS Top 40/Rhythmic WBBM/CHICAGO.
