So That's Why Traffic Was Slow!

Longtime SHAMROCK Classic Rock WZBA (100.7 THE BAY)/BALTIMORE weekender SCOTT FITZGERALD, in his weekday disguise as ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY Fire Dispatcher TONY OLES, was on the other end of the phone when baby EMMA GRIFFITH came knocking to enter this world early MONDAY morning.
That would seem to most to be a normal event, but what was not normal was the location that she chose to make her grand entry -- her parents car en route to the hospital on the side of Route 32 in GAMBRILS. Dad RUSS pulled of to the side of the road as soon as Mom STEPHANIE felt that EMMA was on her way. RUSS then called 911 and was transfered to TONY, who coached the reluctant-sounding pop.
After all was said and done, EMMA came bursting into this world at 6:31a into the shocked but carefully prepared hands of dad.
