Grenax Flagstaff Deal Fetches $925,000; KCCF-F/Phoenix Sale Goes For $4.9 Million

The price by which JOE SCHWARTZ, JOHN BECK, and DANA WITHERS' STONE CANYON RADIO AND MARKETING, LLC (STONE CANYON OF FLAGSTAFF, LLC) is buying Country KSED-F (107.5 KOLT COUNTRY)/SEDONA, AZ, Classic Rock KWMX (96.7 THE WOLF)/WILLIAMS, AZ, News-Talk KBTK (97.1 THE BIG TALKER)/KACHINA VILLAGE, AZ, and '80s KFLX/CHINO VALLEY, AZ (REWIND 92.5/104.1 FM) plus two KWMX boosters in FLAGSTAFF and SEDONA from GRENAX BROADCASTING II, LLC is $925,000 plus an LMA before closing.  The price was not disclosed when STONE CANYON announced the deal YESTERDAY (9/24).

In addition, the price by which CESAR CHAVEZ FOUNDATION is selling noncommercial Regional Mexican KCCF-F (LA CAMPESINA 88.3 FM)/PHOENIX to VCY AMERICA, INC. is $4.9 million.  The price was not disclosed when broker KALIL AND CO. announced the deal YESTERDAY (9/24).

Meanwhile, VCY is also buying Silent KRWP/STOCKTON, MO from CUMULUS LICENSING LLC for $100,000.

In other filings with the FCC, TRAVIS MARINER is transferring his 100% interest in FORUM BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of News-Talk KDRN-A and Country KDLK-F/DEL RIO, TX, to LARRY MARINER for release of an APRIL 1, 2017 note.

KENAI EDUCATIONAL MEDIA, INC. is transferring noncommercial Variety KIBH-F/SEWARD, AK to KENAI MOUNTAINS PUBLIC MEDIA, INC. for no consideration.

LEWIS BROADCASTING, LLC has applied for an STA to operate WJZI-A/DECATUR, IN with an emergency wire antenna at its licensed site with reduced power no greater than 72.5 watts.

ARTISTIC MEDIA PARTNERS, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WDND-A/SOUTH BEND, IN due to the expiration of its tower lease.

TED TUCKER's COCHISE MEDIA LICENSES LLC has closed on the donation of Silent KHSK/ALLEN, NE to the WINNEBAGO TRIBE OF NEBRASKA.

CALVARY, INC. has closed on the sale of KQV-A/PITTSBURGH to ROBERT M. STEVENS' BROADCAST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $55,000.

HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP OF INDIANAPOLIS, INC. has closed on the sale of Religion WWQI (THE LIFE FM)/MORRISTOWN, IN to THE POWER FOUNDATION for $15,000.

And the estate of BILL CORBIN (SANDRA CORBIN, executor) (25%), GLENDA BAXLEY (5%), BRENDA GIBBS (5%), BARBARA GILBERTSON (5%). WANDA HUNT (5%), and ELOISE TODD (5%)  have closed on the sale of control of HOUR GROUP BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of News-Talk WLTG-A and W269DR/PANAMA CITY, FL, to CLARENCE J. GAY and A.D. WHITEHURST (increasing from 25% to 50% each).  The CORBIN interests were sold for $3,000, and the other sellers were paid $2,000 each, for a total of $13,000.
