iHeartMedia/Chicago's WGCI, WVAZ & WGRB Host 'Sista Strut'

Supporting Breast Cancer Research

iHEARTMEDIA Urban WGCI, Urban AC WVAZ (V103) and Gospel WGRB-A/CHICAGO will hold the second annual CRACKER BARREL SISTA STRUT, a 3K breast cancer charity walk to benefit the CHICAGO CHAPTER OF THE SISTERS NETWORK, the nation's largest African American breast cancer survivorship organization.

“We were absolutely overwhelmed by the level of support we received from our community for last year’s SISTA STRUT,” said Dir./Urban Programming-CHICAGO DERRICK BROWN. “iHEARTMEDIA/CHICAGO is committed to building upon this effort to help save lives.”

“SISTA STRUT is more than a walk for me, it’s my life story,” said WGCI Morning Show Host KENDRA G. “My mother passed away from breast cancer six years ago and I watched firsthand what breast cancer did not only do to my mother but to our entire family. On OCTOBER 13th, I will proudly be walking in my mother’s honor to prove that in the end cancer didn’t win because my mother continues to live on through me and my Sistas!”
