ENTERCOM Country WYCD/DETROIT has named TOM "CADILLAC JACK" KAPSALIS as APD/Midday host, effective MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19th. CADILLAC JACK succeeds ROXANNE STEELE in middays, following her move crosstown in AUGUST (NET NEWS 8/21). He most recently handled APD/Afternoon duties for BEASLEY Country WQYK/TAMPA before departing the station in SEPTEMBER (NET NEWS 9/24). The move is a return to DETROIT for CADILLAC JACK, who launched his radio career at WWWW/DETROIT in 1997; his additional career stops include KCYE/LAS VEGAS; WXTU/PHILADELPHIA; and WMZQ/WASHINGTON.
"CADILLAC JACK is a Country radio legend with a long history in DETROIT, and we are excited that he is back," said ENTERCOM/DETROIT SVP/Market Manager DEBBIE KENYON. "His love of Country music makes him a great fit on WYCD, and we look forward to the new energy he will bring to middays." JACK added, "I am very excited about my return to the MOTOR CITY and the opportunity to work with such an amazing station and staff. I can't wait to bring our listeners a fun and engaging experience that they can turn to every day."
