Just before VETERANS DAY this year, the cast and crew of the nationally syndicated BERT SHOW, along with dozens of volunteers, gathered to help the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE pick up over 189,000 of the show's “Big Thank You” letters from around the nation and beyond to be delivered to military troops deployed outside the UNITED STATES just in time for THANKSGIVING.
The "Big Thank You" campaign, now in its 10th year, was made possible by the Law Offices of Gary Martin Hays & Associates, P.C., who sponsored and covered the costs. Over the years, more than two million handwritten letters from all over the nation and beyond have been collected.
Deliver The Letter, The Sooner The Better “What our BERT SHOW community has done over the years with the "Big Thank You" is extraordinary, and I never want this to go unappreciated,” said show host BERT WEISS. “There are a tremendous amount of letters being sent each year to people who our listeners will never meet, and most will never even get a response back. This is a true act of altruism, and there is so much honor in making our deployed military feel connected during the lonely holiday season.”
The BERT SHOW provided a clip detailing the massive undertaking, which you can watch here.
