BEASLEY Top 40/Rhythmic WLLD (WiLD 94.1)/TAMPA PD and morning FREAK SHOW personality ORLANDO DAVIS is set to host the station's 7th annual TOY DRIVE TOWER event to benefit THE CHILDREN’S HOME NETWORK in TAMPA.
Beginning on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7th and continuing through SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15th, ORLANDO DAVIS will live atop the TOY DRIVE TOWER, 30 feet up overlooking TAMPA and the METRO BY T-MOBILE on N. DALE MABRY. Listeners will be encouraged to drop off unwrapped toys, bicycles, toys, gift cards and monetary donations to benefit THE CHILDREN’S HOME NETWORK. Additionally, WLLD's FREAK SHOW will join DAVIS from the TOY DRIVE TOWER to broadcast live every morning from DECEMBER 10th to DECEMBER 14th.
DAVIS is hoping to break last year’s donation collection record, which included more than 600 bicycles, two full PODS containers of toys and over $25,000 in cash and gift cards!
DAVIS commented, "WiLD is an incessant party, so it feels great to circle our wagons and help the kids of THE CHILDREN’S HOME NETWORK have a memorable CHRISTMAS. Our listeners use this opportunity to show their big hearts and for eight days there are laughs, tears, numerous hugs and an immense amount of care. I’m really proud of how we all stand up, for this community."
THE CHILDREN’S HOME NETWORK is a non-profit organization that serves as a sanctuary for abused, neglected or abandoned children in the TAMPA community.
