TODAY (12/11) is the last day for the News-Talk format at SCRIPPS News-Talk KQTH/TUCSON. The station is wrapping things up as FAMILY LIFE RADIO, which bought the station as a divestiture from the SCRIPPS-LOTUS TUCSON deal, prepares to take over the station TOMORROW (12/12).
FAMILY LIFE plans to take the station temporarily silent while it converts the FM talker to its Religion format. At the end, KQTH's local programming consisted of MIKE RAPP's "TUCSON'S MORNING NEWS" 6-8a (MT); the rest of the lineup consisted of syndicated programming, including WESTWOOD ONE's CHRIS PLANTE, DAVE RAMSEY, LAURA INGRAHAM, COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS' "JOE PAGS" PAGLIARULO and LARS LARSON, RADIO AMERICA's CHAD BENSON, and "ON AIR WITH DOUG, JEN AND VICTORIA."
