IHEARTMEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic KMEL/SAN FRANCISCO has announced its sixth annual “Sana Claus Food And Toy Drive” will take place this FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21st from 6a to 12p (PT) to benefit the ALAMEDA FIRE DEPARTMENT and the ALAMEDA COUNTY COMMUNITY FOOD BANK.
"The SANA G. Morning Show" will broadcast live from the CHILI'S restaurant at BAYFAIR CENTER in SAN LEANDRO and will encourage listeners to bring new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items, as well as cash or gift card donations to benefit the local community in need. Special guests during the event will include EMPIRE RECORDS artist JOHN HART and RCA RECORDS artists H.E.R. and G-EAZY.
iHEARTMEDIA SAN FRANCISCO SVP Programming DON PARKER commented, “Every year, SANA G. becomes ‘SANA CLAUS’ as we help to collect toys and food for BAY AREA families in need during the holidays. I’m always struck by the enormous generosity of our listeners and the recording artists who make our morning show live broadcast a successful charity event each year.”
Morning show host SANA G. added, “"Giving back is one of the most gratifying parts of what we do at KMEL and we could never do it without the support and generosity of the community.”
For the past five years, KMEL has collected nearly 2,000 pounds of food and over 100 barrels of toys to benefit families in need from the BAY AREA. For more information about the event and live updates on Sana Claus, listeners can go to KMEL.com.
