CITADEL Sports WGFX (104.5 THE ZONE)/NASHVILLE has inked contract extensions for the four hosts of the station's afternoon "SPORTS ZONE," including GEORGE PLASTER, WILLY DAUNIC, DARREN MCFARLAND, and JOHN MCCLAIN. The deals keep the quartet in the ZONE lineup for the next three years. PLASTER, a local fixture, came to THE ZONE from crosstown Talk WWTN (SUPER TALK 99.7 WTN) in 2003.
"CITADEL BROADCASTING and, specifically, 104.5 THE ZONE, are excited about renewing this partnership with NASHVILLE’s premiere sports show," said Regional President PAUL O’MALLEY. "GEORGE’s dedication to his show and unparalled work ethic has helped create a loyal listener base that is unprecedented in the sports talk arena. Local radio has never been stronger and the SPORTS ZONE with GEORGE, WILLY, DARREN, and JOHN is proof positive."
