Legendary Country group ALABAMA was awarded the TONY MARTELL LIFETIME ENTERTAINMENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at the T.J. MARTELL FOUNDATION’s “11th ANNUAL NASHVILLE HONORS GALA” at the OMNI HOTEL in NASHVILLE on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25th. BRAD PAISLEY was on hand to pay tribute with a medley of the band’s hit songs, and CHARLIE DANIELS presented the award to the trio.
“We have been fortunate to have won over 280 industry awards in our 50 years of recording and touring, but the TONY MARTELL LIFETIME ENTERTAINMENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD may be the most special award we have ever gotten,” the band’s RANDY OWEN remarked. “Anything we as a group can do to help find a cure for cancer is very important to me, TEDDY [GENTRY] and JEFF [COOK]. We appreciate the NASHVILLE music industry, BRAD PAISLEY, and CHARLIE DANIELS for making our night extra special.”
The NASHVILLE HONORS GALA is hosted annually by the T.J. MARTELL FOUNDATION and pays tribute to outstanding community leaders. Additional honorees included KINGS OF LEON and RYMAN HOSPITALITY SVP/Programming And Artist Relations SALLY WILLIAMS, among others.
