Pinna Adds New Original Comedy Podcasts For Kids

The PINNA children's podcast subscription service has announced three new original comedy podcasts, the addition of one existing comedy podcast to the platform, and a new season of another PINNA original podcast.

The new shows include a "snackable joke-of-the day" daily podcast, "HiLL-LaRRy-uS"; a weekly improv comedy podcast, "DON'T BREAK THE RULES," hosted by CARLY CIAROCCHI; and a musical comedy, "THE FURRYTONES," created by MCPAUL SMITH and SUSAN M. CLARKE.  Joining PINNA from partner WNYC STUDIOS is scripted podcast "THIS PODCAST HAS FLEAS," originally released in 2017 and featuring the voices of ALEC BALDWIN, EUGENE MIRMAN, JAY PHAROAH, and EMILY LYNNE.  And back for a new season is "KYLE'S WILD WORLD."

"Our team is widely experienced in the kids' entertainment space and we know kids love to laugh, so what better day to kick off a line-up of laugh-inducing shows than APRIL FOOL'S DAY," said CEO MAGGIE MCGUIRE. "We are dedicated to creating safe content that encourages active listening, conversation, social interaction and imaginative play -- and gets kids giggling, guessing, puzzling and participating."

"We are pushing the boundaries of what a typical podcast is and we think about listening opportunities for kids throughout the day as we develop and acquire new podcasts, audiobooks and music," said Director of Development and Children's Programming AMY KRAFT. "For instance, kids can listen to HiLL-LaRRy-uS in the morning so that they can tell the funny joke later that day on the playground, while DON'T BREAK THE RULES can inspire after school improv play. Of course, all our shows can be listened to anytime, anywhere – alone or with friends and family."
