YouTube To LIvestream Coachella With Curated Weekend Two For First Time

For the ninth consecutive year, YOUTUBE will be the home of the exclusive, two-weekend live stram of COACHELLA, APRIL 12th-14th and, for the first time, a curated edition for the second weekend, APRIL 19th-21st. This year's lineup includes headliners CHILDISH GAMBINO, ARIANA GRANDE and TAME IMPALA as well as KACEY MUSGRAVES, BILLIE EILISH, BLACKPINK, JUICE WRLD, KID CUDI, WIZ KHALIFA, MAGGIE ROGERS and CHVRCHES, among others.
YOUTUBE’s Weekend 1 live stream will be presented by T-MOBILE in the U.S., and GARNIER and COCA-COLA in CANADA, COACHELLA’s YOUTUBE CHANNEL is accessible on any screen (desktop, mobile and living room) and within the YOUTUBE MUSIC app. In addition, fans will get treated to a one-time premiere of the new CHILDISH GAMBINO film, "Guava Island,” featuring RIHANNA.
Fans will have their choice of three live stream feeds with different artists performing simultaneously. Programming starts at 4p (PT) on FRIDAY (APRIL 12th) and runs through the weekend. Personalized viewing schedules can be created and live stream channels will automatically change to artists selected by fans.
Highlights from the weekend will be available through a video-on-demand hub, with co-hosts NADESKA ALEXIS, VALERIE LEE and special guests to bring fans interviews with artists and creators from throughout the festival.
For the first time ever, YOUTUBE MUSIC will keep the cameras rolling on Weekend 2, with a carefully curated live stream sponsored by PANTENE and CALVIN KLEIN in the U.S, COACHELLA CURATED, hosted by KCRW's JASON BENTLEY, will offer a slate of original content — encore and live performances, artist commentary, mini-docs, animated adventures and more — to accompany live music and in-studio interviews with performers.
The mini-doc features offer traveling tales — filmed on six continents with COACHELLA’s PAUL TOLLETT — offering a look at the multinational energy that comes together on the EMPIRE POLO GROUNDS.
YOUTUBE will also livestream parts of the festival on NEW YORK CITY's THE BEAST TIMES SQUARE big screen, including BLACKPINK's highly anticipated performance at 11:50p (ET) on FRIDAY, APRIL 12th.
The `19-year-old robot MIQUELA will also make a first-ever appearance at COACHELLA, teaming up with YOUTUBE MUSIC to host artist interviews with 2019 performers including J BALVIN and KING PRINCESS, among others.
