ENTERCOM Alternative KROQ/LOS ANGELES announces KEVIN KLEIN co-hosting the afternoon show with TED STRYKER as "STRYKER AND KLEIN" from 2-6p. KROQ had been experimenting with KLEIN in afternoons with STRYKER for months. He previously hosted mornings on sister Alternative KITS/SAN FRANCISCO until the station rebranded to ALT 105.3. One year ago, KLEIN was set to host mornings on ENTERCOM Rock-Talk KEGY (97.3 THE MACHINE)/SAN DIEGO but never hit the airwaves due to a social media controversy (NET NEWS, 4/6/19). 

“Pairing STRYKER and KLEIN is something we could never have imagined just a few years ago,” said JEFF FEDERMAN, ENTERCOM/LOS ANGELES SVP/Market Manager. “Individually, they’ve both had tremendous success throughout their careers. Adding great content to our afternoon programming is something that we’re very committed to and these guys do a fantastic job connecting the music to fun and interesting conversations.”

STRYKER said, "KROQ is my hometown station, it’s part of who I am and I'm very excited and enthused to continue my journey with KLEIN. Our listeners can expect an enthusiastic, must-listen to program as they wind down their work days.”

“Working at THE WORLD FAMOUS KROQ has always been a dream of mine,” added KLEIN. “People in SOCAL are in their cars all day and our show will provide them with entertaining and topical content to listen to in the afternoon.” 

Last week, KROQ adjusted its on-air lineup following KAT CORBETT's exit (NET NEWS, 5/2).
