The TAMPA BAY TIMES reports that syndicated morning host BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE is facing foreclosure on his studio and racetrack over unpaid debts.
VALLEY NATIONAL BANK sued BUBBA on APRIL 16th, alleging that he and his BUBBA RACEWAY PARK, LLC, operator of the racetrack in OCALA, FL, owe the bank $94,373, including $3,000 for 2017 and 2018 property taxes; in a separate suit, the same bank is foreclosing on BUBBA's studio near TAMPA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT to collect on a $77,510 judgment against BUBBA, BRN STUDIOS, LLC and BUBBA RADIO NETWORK from last year based on a default on a line of credit.
BUBBA filed an amended version of his lawsuit against COX MEDIA GROUP and MIKE CALTA this week, dropping his former producer MATT "SPICE BOY" LOYD as a co-defendant. That suit, originally filed in MARCH, alleges that COX and CALTA took steps to harm BUBBA's career, including the alleged "sting operation" with NIELSEN and other allegations of ratings tampering.
