Bill Black Heads To iHeartMedia/Detroit To Program WJLB & WMXD (Mix 92.3)

It's now official: BILL BLACK has been named Dir./Urban Programming for iHEARTMEDIA Urban WJLB and Urban AC WMXD (MIX 92.3). Previously, BLACK ended a 13-year tenure with RADIO ONE/CLEVELAND (NET NEWS, 5/1), where he programmed Urban WENZ (Z-107.9) and Urban AC WZAK (93.1). In addition, he was also the OHIO Regional OM for CINCINNATI and COLUMBUS.

BLACK replaces NATE BELL, who left that post this past MARCH (NET NEWS, 3/15).

“BILL is a highly successful programmer with a proven track record and we are thrilled to have him on the team,” iHEARTMEDIA/DETROIT Regional SVP/Programming TONY TRAVATTO said. “His knowledge of Urban radio is unparalleled and I know he will contribute to each station’s success.”
