A LAS VEGAS office building housing the headquarters of the NEVADA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION was destroyed in a fire MONDAY (6/18), reports the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL.
The complex, THE PARK AT 3900 on Paradise Road near the STRIP, burned down in the early morning hours, and CLARK COUNTY Fire Chief GREG CASSELL told the R-J that the building had no sprinklers and the Fire Department never received an alarm from any internal system.
NEVADA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION Pres./CEO MITCH FOX told the paper that the organization did not lose everything, since much of what used to be paperwork is now in the cloud on the internet, but added, “We don’t think there’s anything that important in an office, but there’s personal mementos, awards, signed photos, things that can’t be replaced.” FOX said that the NBA has received support from station managers, county commissioners, and Mayor CAROLYN GOODMAN, with offers of office space and resources to help the organization recover.
