PODTRAC has released its MAY 2018 ranking of the Top 10 podcast publishers.

In the latest rankings based on U.S. unique monthly audience, which again includes the same ten players as in recent months, WNYC STUDIOS was the sole producer to see an increase in its unique monthly audience from last month; average unique monthly audience for the top 10 was off 2% from last month but up 41% year-to-year.

The publisher rankings, which, once again, only include shows opting in for PODTRAC's Podcast Measurement System for the full month (and missing some of the largest shows and publishers) and ranked by unique U.S. monthly audience:

1. NPR (last month: 1) (55 active shows)
2. iHEARTRADIO (2) (253 active shows)
3. RADIOTOPIA/PRX (3) (70 active shows)
4. WONDERY (4) (71 active shows)
5. THE NEW YORK TIMES (5) (9 active shows)
6. BARSTOOL SPORTS (6) (28 active shows)
7. WNYC STUDIOS (9) (51 active shows)
8. ESPN (8) (61 active shows)
9. THIS AMERICAN LIFE/SERIAL (7) (2 active shows)
10. DAILY WIRE (10) (5 active shows)

And ranked by global downloads and streams:
