SAGA Country WSIG (REAL COUNTRY)/HARRISONBURG, VA welcomes CHRIS “CHAPPY” CHAPMAN and LISA JORDAN as morning show co-hosts, effective in mid-SEPTEMBER. CHAPPY arrives from SUMMITMEDIA AC KSRZ/OMAHA, and JORDAN from ALPHA MEDIA AC WSSR (STAR 96.7)/JOLIET, IL. They succeed JONATHAN “JR” RUPPEL, who moved to the PD chair at sister station WPOR/PORTLAND, MD in JUNE (NET NEWS 6/12), and IVY LEE, who returns to the MIDWEST.
OM/PD “UNCLE PAULY” MCDANIEL said, “With a name like CHAPPY, you just know this guy will be infectious. And speaking of infectious, I was able to grab LISA away from the competition in CHARLOTTESVILLE many years ago, and she had me hooked within minutes of our first coffee meeting!”
“As an EAST COAST guy who grew up a stone’s throw from the Appalachian Trail, I’m excited to get back to my Country roots,” said CHAPMAN. “Looking forward to waking up the SHENANDOAH VALLEY with LISA and sporting the purple and gold for some JMU Dukes football this year!”
“Everything about this move feels right,” said JORDAN. “It was a blessing that PAULY and I crossed paths again. I have so much professional respect for him as a Program Director and mentor. I’m more than a little excited to join a robust group like the SAGA family!”
