Wisconsin Public Radio's Glen Moberg Dies

WISCONSIN PUBLIC RADIO reporter and "ROUTE 51" host GLEN MOBERG has passed away, WPR reported this weekend. MOBERG retired earlier this year after almost 16 years with WPR; his "ROUTE 51" show aired on WPR's IDEAS NETWORK. He had been diagnosed with stomach cancer late last year.
MOBERG came to WPR in FEBRUARY 2004 after stints at WAOW-TV and WSAW-TV/WAUSAU, WFLD-TV (FOX 32) and WBBM-A/CHICAGO, CENTEL CABLE TV OF ILLINOIS, and WJKL (THE FOX)/ELGIN, IL. He was also well-known in the WAUSAU area as a guitarist and, with wife MARY BETH, owned the NORTHWOODS GOLDSMITH CUSTOM DESIGN JEWELRY REPAIR SHOP and COOL BEANS coffee bean jewelry.
