RAB: Radio Revenue Up 3%

Radio revenue increased 3% in grand total combined spot and non-spot dollars during the month of NOVEMBER 2006 compared to the same month from 2005, reports the RADIO ADVERTISING BUREAU. Total combined local and national spot revenue for NOVEMBER 2006 was also up 3% over NOVEMBER 2005. National ad dollars climbed 16%, while local sales figures fell 1% during the same time period.
Year-to-date, grand total combined spot and non-spot revenue remained flat JANUARY through NOVEMBER 2006 over JANUARY through NOVEMBER 2005. The total combined local and national spot revenue for the first 11 months of 2006 also remained flat compared to that same time period in 2005.
Local and national revenues are based on a pool of more than 150 markets as reported by the accounting firm of MILLER KAPLAN ARASE & CO. Non-xpot data has been collected and verified since JANUARY of 2002 and reported since SEPTEMBER of 2004.
