Debtor-in-possession D.W.S., INC., licensee of News-Talk WDWS-A, AC WHMS-F (LITE ROCK 97.5), and W230CW/CHAMPAIGN, IL and Classic Hits WKIO/ARCOLA, IL, is selling the stations to CHAMPAIGN MULTIMEDIA GROUP, LLC, headed by Chairman LARRY J. PERROTTO and President/CEO MARK J. PERROTTO, along with the NEWS-GAZETTE (CHAMPAIGN, IL), FORD COUNTY RECORD, RANTOUL PRESS, PIATT COUNTY JOURNAL-REPUBLICAN, MAHOMET CITIZEN, and THE INDEPENDENT NEWS, for $4.5 million. D.W.S. and parent THE NEWS-GAZETTE, INC. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on AUGUST 30th.
Applying for STAs were BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION (WPON-A/WALLED LAKE, MI, operation based on method of moments measurement) and TOWNSQUARE MEDIA SIOUX FALLS LICENSE, LLC (KMXC and KKLS-F/SIOUX FALLS, SD, temporary site due to damaged tower).
LATTER RAIN NETWORK, INC. has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for low power FM WLRF-LP/BINGHAMTON, NY while it completes building its modified facility under its construction permit.
And the estate of the late CRAIG BAKER has closed on the sale of Religion WKVQ-A/EATONTON, GA to REV. LEONARD SMALL for $10.
