DAVE NAVARRO and BILLY MORRISON's second annual "ABOVE GROUND" benefit concert at the FONDA THEATRE in HOLLYWOOD turned into a night to remember. The star-studded event offered an immersive evening of celebrating the vinyl album as an art form, and at the same time raising awareness and funds for the treatment of mental health, with the profits being donated to THE RECORDING ACADEMY's MUSICARES,
The musical guests saluted two of the greatest albums of all time, which were performed in their entirety: DAVID BOWIE's "The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars" and THE STOOGES' self-titled debut album (celebrating its 50th anniversary this year), on which the world was introduced to IGGY POP.
TOM ARNOLD hosted and among the performers were BILLY IDOL, PERRY FARRELL, GAVIN ROSSDALE, JACK BLACK, MINISTRY's AL JOURGENSON, STEVE STEVENS, JULIETTE LEWIS, STEVE VAI, BILLY DUFFY, WAYNE KRAMER, MIKE GARSON, BRAD WILK, CARMINE ROJAS, CHRIS CHANEL, FRANKZ PEREZ, TWIGGY, DAVE KUSHNER, ORIANTHIS and DONOVAN LEITCH, among many others.,
