David Lee Michaels Promoted To PD At WSLC/Roanoke

Midday host DAVID LEE MICHAELS has been promoted to PD at MEL WHEELER INC. Country WSLC (94.9 STAR COUNTRY)/ROANOKE-LYNCHBURG, VA. MICHAELS, who will retain his airshift, assumes duties previously handled by BRETT SHARP, who was recently promoted from OM to GM for the cluster (NET NEWS 9/11). MICHAELS’ new position is effective MONDAY, OCTOBER 14TH.

Prior to ROANOKE, MICHAELS programmed or worked at stations in MILWAUKEE, RICHMOND, DAYTONA, and COLUMBUS.

SHARP said, “DAVID LEE has been a part of the STAR COUNTRY team for over three years. He knows the station, the market, and great radio. We can’t wait for him to take the reins and continue to grow WSLC."
